INITIAL CABIN CREW COURSE

Training Objectives

• To prepare the student for the official examinations for the Cabin Crew certificate
• And prepare him/her to perform in an airline crew the cabin crew duties regarding first aid, safety and security

Conditions for admission

• Holder of an A level Certificate
• Be able to swim
• Class 2 medical certificate

Program

• Safety and First aid theoretical course approved by Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority
• Safety and First aid practical training approved by Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority
• Supplementary courses for airline integration as a cabin crew member
- Dangerous good transportation
- Aviation security
- Crew resource management

- Commercial course
- Cabin crew English
- Option : B 737, MA 60 and Q 400 cabin crew type rating

Training duration and location

TOTAL: 15 weeks in our Training Center
There is a possibility to do the theoretical training within airline premises

Training curriculum

• Classroom courses and computer based training
• Group discussions
• Practice with real safety and first aid equipment
• Water and fire drills
• Wing and ramp slide evacuations
• Type rating exercises on mock up and real aircraft

Training validation

• Cabin crew certificate by Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority
• Sabena Flight Academy-Africa certificat for CRM dangerous goods transportation aviation security

Cabin Crew

1What is the minimum age to become a cabin crew?
You must be at least 18 years old
2What is the minimum education level required to do the training?
A level is recommended but not compulsory. Swimming skill is mandatory
3What is the meaning of CCAA?
CCAA stands for Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority, the governing body that oversees safety and security in air transport according to international standards
4Will I be able to work anywhere with my CCAA issued certificate?
CCAA issued license is recognized in most Central and West African countries, other countries may request to follow their own program, which is the same
5What is the duration of the course?
3 months to obtain the CCAA Cabin Crew certificate
6After graduating from the school, do you provide a job?
No, it is your responsibility to find a job
7Do you provide or help secure a scholarship?
No, you must also provide your source of payment at time of registration
8Do you provide accommodation?
No, the school can help in finding one
9Do you offer any installments payments for the tuition?
A tuition payment plan is available at the time of registration
10Is there a requirement for height and weight?
NO, there are no set rules, each airlines has its own standard
