A class of students from the prestigious Sabena Flight Academy Africa/CAE Douala aviation school visited Laquintinie Hospital in Douala on September 19th.

The visit allowed supervisors and a class of students from SFA-A/CAE Douala to immerse themselves in the demanding emergency department environment of one of Cameroon’s largest hospital training facilities. Accompanied by medical staff, they were able to observe the organization of care, the handling of life-threatening emergencies, particularly in the maternity ward, and the precision of technical procedures.

This visit lays the foundation for a deeper collaboration that could include observation internships, joint practical workshops, and on-board medical crisis simulations. The ultimate goal is clear: to ensure that every crew member graduating from Sabena Flight Academy Africa/CAE Douala is not only a hospitality professional, but also a seasoned first aider, capable of reacting effectively and calmly to any in-flight medical emergency.
